One of my most popular questions I get from clients is, when is the ideal time for a sitter session. Let me first explain what a sitter session is if you are not familiar with the term. A sitter session is when your child reaches the milestone of sitting, hence the name. Every baby’s development is slightly different but most babies sit independently between 6 to 9 months. You would want to book this session when your child is about 4 to 6 months. However they can be booked once baby has learned to sit as I usually have a lot more flexibility on my calendar when booking these sessions, than I do when booking a newborn photoshoot. Your session can be very clean looking with solid backdrops, bowls and curly layers or we can use my whimsical backdrops and play a little dress up in my animal and floral bonnets and one of kind exquisite outfits for your little sitters. Either way whatever style you choose these milestone sessions are always fun when I get to capture in camera your little daughter showing off all her milestones she has reached rolling on her tummy, sitting nice and proud, or maybe even beginning to cruise. We usually have some fun nursery rhymes playing in the studio to get your son a little giddy and let him warm up while I create my magic.
